New Cuba Regulations

On November 8th, the U. S. government issued new regulations for travel to Cuba. In summary, self-guided “people-to-people” travel will no longer be allowed. This means that in order to enjoy Cuba, all guests must be participating in a group tour or qualify for the other categories of authorized travel, which are listed under our Cuba Travel Requirements FAQs: www.RoyalCaribbean.com/Cuba/FAQ/. In addition, we will be reviewing our shore excursion tours to ensure they comply with these new regulations and will notify your guests if there are any changes that need to take place.

An important component of the regulation mentions that all guests who booked prior to June 16, 2017, will be exempt from this new regulation (which doesn’t permit “self-guided” tours) for their booking only.
It is important to remind your clients that travelling to Cuba is easiest by cruise ship, as all of our tours offer a safe, enjoyable experience in this culturally-enriched country. As a reminder, please encourage your clients to visit www.RoyalCaribbean.com/Cuba for useful tips to help them prepare for their trip and to gather all the necessary travel documentation.
